What’s going on in Los Altos & Los Altos Hills?
A variety of fun Los Altos and Los Altos Hills events and attractions are scheduled throughout each year. Residents of these communities and neighboring areas enjoy getting out, seeing new things, socializing with friends and family and learning more about what's available to people of all ages.

Downtown Los Altos Farmer’s Market
Freshly grown foods, bakery items, gourmet take-out and educational outreach about good nutrition. The market it open May through September on Thursdays from 4 to 8 p.m. Check it out for yourself on State Street between Second and Fourth streets.
Friday Movie Nights (Annual Summer Event)
Bring your folding chairs, blankets and snacks and enjoy free movies at the intersection of Main and Third streets. You can begin arriving at 6 p.m., with movies scheduled to start at 8:30. Los Altos Arts and Wine Festival
For an unforgettable experience, attend the annual Arts and Wine Festival, the largest event of its kind in the Bay Area. View works from various artists throughout the country while sampling wines from local wineries. Plenty of food, music and fun for everybody. Held the second weekend in July. Annual Easter Egg Hunt
Held around the Easter holiday, the popular Easter Egg Hunt is free to children through 10 years old. Kids can have fun doing crafts, playing games and getting their faces painted. Location is Main and State streets. Get specific dates and times by calling the Los Altos Village Association at (650) 949-5282.
Get on your Halloween costumes and head downtown for plenty of trick-or-treating at shops displaying a special orange pumpkin. This annual event is typically held the day before Halloween in the afternoon, near the intersection of State and Second streets. Call (650) 949-5282 for more information.
The annual Holiday Stroll is a chance to mingle with friends and take a nice walking tour of all the downtown holiday sights. Get a jump on Christmas shopping, or just enjoy the lights and carolers and roasted chestnuts. Historically held in November in the evening. Festival of Lights Parade
One of the most popular annual events in Los Altos, the Festival of Lights Parade will thrill you will magnificent floats, brilliant lights and festive costumes. Usually held on Thanksgiving night. For more information on upcoming dates and times, contact parade organizers through their website.
These fun social events are held the first Friday of each month in downtown. It’s a perfect opportunity for newcomers – and established residents – to shop, eat and discover all the cool things happening in the downtown area. Hours are 6 to 8 p.m., every first Friday. Fine Art in the Park - Rotary Art Show
This annual event is a great chance to view works from well over 100 artists and help the Los Altos Rotary Club raise money for important special projects. Art includes painting, ceramics, jewelry, sculptures and much more. Held at Lincoln Park, usually in May. Check out RotaryArtShow.com for full details.
